Camryn Jenae Walker

Camryn completed her freshman year at North Carolina A&T College.

  • Volunteer for World of STEM and Black Boy Diary
  • Served on the executive board for the Women in Science and Technology organization (Social Media Co-Chair, Event Coordinator Co-Chair)
  • Member of the Black Joy Diary media design team
  • Chancellor's List (Fall and Spring Semesters) 
  • Finished the year with a 3.84 GPA
  • Inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman Honor Society
  • North Carolina A&T Honors College

Emani Poindexter

Grandparents:  Darryl and Rosalind Thomas


Emani completed her freshman year at Virginia State University (VSU).  She plans to join VSU's choir when she returns in the Fall.

Torie Alona Turner

Torie was promoted to the 4th grade at Jouett Elementary School.

Sydney Parashar

Parents: Fayeahad and Tiffany Parashar


Sydney was promoted to the 5th grade at Pearson’s Corner Elementary School.

  • Principal's List for earning all A’s 
  • Perfect Attendance Award
  • Certificate for participation in the 48th Festival of the Arts and Sciences for Hanover County Public Schools. Two of her art projects were showcased.
  • Certificate for participation in the Reading Olympics 

Camden Parashar

Camden was promoted to the 6th grade at Chickahominy Middle School.

Kendall Jones

Parents: Kyle Jones and Heidi Timothy


Kendall was promoted to the 10th grade at J. R. Tucker High School.

Trinity Anderson

Parents: William and Nicole Anderson


Trinity was promoted to the 11th grade at Patrick Henry High School, Hanover County.

  • Certificate from the Hope Squad (A peer-to-peer suicide prevention program that trains students to recognize and support their peers who may be struggling with mental health challenges or suicidal thoughts.)

Charlesey Gaines

Parents: Renesha Gaines Entzminger and Lester Jones


Charlesey graduated from Patrick Henry High School. She plans to continue her education virtually at South University. 


Her most memorable school moments are making street corn in culinary class, preparing for graduation, and prom.

Taylor Coles

Taylor successfully completed his freshman year at Norfolk State University. 

Isaiah Wyatt

Isaiah completed his sophomore year at Rowan College of South New Jersey.

Avanti Hunter

Avanti is majoring in Sports Management at Chowan University, NC.

  • Dean's List (GPA 3.25 - 3.79) for the entire school year
  • Plays center position on Chowan Hawks basketball team
  • Held a full time job on campus

Taaliyah Thompson

Mother: Tiffany Thompson


Taaliyah completed three years at Howard University before changing her focus from law to nursing. She is currently enrolled in Bryant & Stratton College to become a registered nurse.
